Inspired by the unparalleled beauty of South Africa's False Bay, which surrounds the nation's esteemed wine regions, False Bay Vineyards was born from a mission to offer affordable, high-quality wines. In 1994, before creating Waterkloof - his biodynamic vineyard with a view of False Bay - Paul Boutinot ventured to The Western Cape to rescue underappreciated grapes from old, well-balanced vineyards. Bucking the trend of heavy-handed intervention, Paul instead opted for wild yeast fermentation and minimal additives, a groundbreaking approach at the time. Today, False Bay wines remain true to this original recipe: exceptional coastal fruit, natural balance, and wild yeast, all at an accessible price point.
